Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering by truck customer orders in a timely manner.
Here’s a typical day:
- Make note of the day’s scheduled deliveries and deadlines.
- Work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure that the delivery route and load organization are fully optimized.
- Be proactive and deal with route and itinerary changes.
- Make sure that everything has been delivered to the customer’s satisfaction before leaving the premises.
- Assist warehouse personnel in order to be able to deliver the orders on time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good knowledge of spoken English is required;
- Hold a valid Class G driving license (Class 5) with a minimum of 3-year driving experience
- Customer service friendly; Someone who enjoys fostering a positive relationship with customers
- Be able to lift minimum 50 lbs and has due regard for safe working practices
- Experience driving a 5-TON, flat bed or trailer
