Career1 is currently hiring an experienced Overhead Bridge Crane Operator on behalf of our manufacturing client located in Lachine, Quebec.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating an overhead bridge crane to move, lift, position, and transport materials within a busy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate an overhead bridge crane safely and efficiently
- Lift, move, position, and transport materials throughout the facility
- Perform daily inspections of crane equipment before operation
- Follow proper lifting, rigging, and material-handling procedures
- Ensure loads are properly secured and within safe lifting limits
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Assist with material handling and production duties when required
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor
Requirements
- 6 months to 2 years of overhead bridge crane experience
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Experience handling heavy materials is an asset
- Good understanding of crane and workplace safety procedures
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Physically capable of performing required material-handling duties
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Must be able to reliably commute to Lachine, QC
Compensation
$22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience.
