The Opportunity
A. Berger Precision Ltd. is looking for an Associate, Quality Engineering to join its team in Brampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering or technical graduate, or an early-career professional with 0–2 years of related experience, who wants to build hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working closely with Quality, Engineering and Production, you will support production-floor troubleshooting, quality systems, engineering documentation, data monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical and quality support to production teams.
- Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues on the production floor.
- Support digital measurement and quality-control systems.
- Create, maintain and update engineering and quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans and digital work instructions.
- Support APQP and PPAP activities for new and existing programs.
- Monitor real-time production and quality data and assist with identifying trends, abnormalities and improvement opportunities.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities.
- Assist with metrology and measurement-related activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process-quality initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Production teams.
- Support the use and development of digital tools, dashboards and emerging technologies within the quality function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical field.
- 0–2 years of related experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Education or exposure to Mechatronics, Robotics, Manufacturing or Metallurgy is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing/production environment.
- Familiarity with quality tools, root-cause analysis, APQP or PPAP is an asset.
- Exposure to CAD/SolidWorks is an asset.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Introductory knowledge of Python and/or SQL is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in digital manufacturing, automation, data analytics and emerging technology is an asset.
Security Requirement
The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security assessment as a condition of employment.
