The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced Piano Instructor to provide year round private lessons for children, youth and adults. The contractor will have the opportunity to develop their own client base while also benefiting from an established and active roster of existing students in a strong and growing program.

Lessons will be conducted in a multi-purpose classroom (not a dedicated piano studio)
Classroom availability:

Weekdays after 3:00pm

The instructor will teach students ranging from 6 years old through adulthood, accommodating a wide variety of experience levels and musical goals.
Piano Skill LevelsBeginner (Ages 6+)Students may:

Have little to no prior piano experience

Adult LearnersStudents may:

Be complete beginners or experienced musicians

Work toward individualized musical goals and interests

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate piano lessons

Adapt instruction to accommodate different ages, skill levels, learning styles, and musical goals

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents when appropriate

Develop lesson plans and learning objectives that encourage musical growth and confidence

Prepare students for performances, recitals, examinations, or personal achievement goals as desired

Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and Club staff

Prepare and organize teaching materials and supplies as required
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe teaching environment

Formal training in piano performance, music education, or a related field
-
Previous experience teaching piano to children and/or adults

Ability to teach a wide range of ages and skill levels

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

Current First Aid certification required

Current criminal record and vulnerable sector check required
