Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular inspections. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- - Implementing and maintaining a company safety program.
- Must have a good understanding of safety legislation relating to the scope of work and work sites.
- Maintaining and managing COR.
- Conducting safety inspections to identify protentional hazards
- Review safety incidents and investigations create corrective actions
- Oversee the implementation of safe work practices and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE Hardhat, Safety Glasses, High Vis & Steel Toes.
- Work collaboratively with management and employees to foster a positive safety culture.
Experience
- National Construction Safety Officer's (NCSO) Designation a requirement
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a safety role.
- Strong understanding of Alberta's OH&S Act and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay: $35.59-$45.53 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
