Tsitra Stone Labs Inc. is a high-end stone fabrication and installation company specializing in luxury residential and commercial projects. We work closely with builders, designers, and developers to deliver premium countertops, wall cladding, fireplaces, and custom stone applications.
We are expanding our in-house fabrication team and looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Stone Fabricator who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator / Polisher to join our production team. In this role, you will work with natural and engineered stone materials—including granite, marble, quartz, and porcelain—to fabricate high-quality countertops, vanities, and custom stonework. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision craftsmanship, understands shop safety standards, and operates efficiently in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Edging: Cut, shape, glue, and laminate natural and engineered stone pieces according to shop drawings and project specifications.
- Hand & Machine Polishing: Polish stone edges and surfaces (e.g., eased, bevel, bullnose, ogee) using pneumatic air tools, wet polishers, and diamond pads to achieve a high-gloss finish.
- Quality Control: Inspect slabs for defects, dry-fit seam assemblies, repair minor chips/pits, and ensure finished products meet exact tolerances before staging for installation.
- Equipment Operation: Operate bridge saws, edge polishers, overhead bridge cranes, and material handling equipment safely.
- Shop Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean work station, perform daily routine maintenance on hand tools, and strictly adhere to safe silica dust management (wet processing) and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in natural stone or quartz fabrication and hand polishing.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, cut sheets, and measure accurately using standard tape measures and templates.
- Tool Knowledge: Proficient with wet hand grinders, polishers, core drills, pneumatic tools, and seam sets.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long shifts, and maneuver heavy stone slabs safely using cranes or vacuum lifters.
- Certifications: Forklift certification or overhead crane training is considered a strong asset.
