Resident Heavy Equipment Technician - Whitecourt, AB
This is a full-time permanent Monday to Friday role, however overtime and out of hours work may be required to meet clients needs.

Reporting to the Service Manager the Heavy Equipment Technician maintains, repairs, and rebuilds heavy equipment at the shop and the field in a safe, efficient, and capable manner.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement
Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner
Think logically and keep up with changes in technology
Interpret work orders and technical manuals
Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times
Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Technician, Journeyperson certification. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:
Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset
Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy duty equipment
Experience with Komatsu Equipment is considered an asset
Strong commitment to safety
Strong customer service skills and the ability to take initiative
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Candidates must hold a full driver’s license without restrictions
