Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaping Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in landscaping and a strong work ethic. As a Landscaping Labourer, you will be responsible for various tasks related to hardscaping, softscape, and general landscape maintenance. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hardscaping tasks, including but not limited to: continuous curbing, paving stone installation, and gravel pad preparation.
- Execute softscape projects, such as flower and plant bed installation, sod installation, and artificial turf installation.
- Assist in the operation of a bobcat for excavation and other related tasks (experience with bobcat operation is an asset).
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, removing existing materials, and leveling surfaces as required.
- Transport materials and equipment using wheelbarrows and other manual tools.
- Follow project plans and instructions provided by the supervisor to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscaping and familiarity with various landscaping techniques.
- Strong knowledge of hardscaping and softscape practices, including continuous curbing, sod installation, artificial turf installation, and paving stone installation.
- Proficient in working with common landscaping tools, such as shovels and wheelbarrows.
- Ability to operate a bobcat is considered a valuable asset.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
