Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High-School Mathematics & Physics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive mathematics & Physics instruction to students across various grade levels. This role offers an opportunity to inspire students, foster a love for mathematics/Physics, and contribute to their academic success in a supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Deliver clear, engaging, and interactive lessons to facilitate student understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and curriculum development.
- Support students’ individual learning needs through tutoring or additional assistance as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Engineering, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics/physics (Ontario curriculum, IB and AP)at the appropriate grade level is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical & physics concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and motivation.
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering academic growth in students.

This is an in person position. The ideal candidate must be a resident of Brantford, have a reliable means of transportation and available to work between 5:00pm to 8:00pm on weekdays. Weekend shifts may be a possibility in the future. This is an ideal opportunity for a full time University student, pursuing under grad or master degree in Math or Engineering
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
