Warehouse Labourer

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. Role Overview
As a Warehouse Labourer, you will play a strategic role in supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping parts and materials. You will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining records, supporting customers at the parts counter, and contributing to the efficient movement of materials throughout the operation.
Working closely with operations, maintenance, vendors, and internal stakeholders, you will help maintain inventory integrity, support business continuity, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving: Receive, unpack, inspect, store, and ship merchandise, parts, and materials accurately and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts, maintain inventory records, and utilize warehouse inventory systems to track stock levels.
- Customer Service: Provide support at the parts counter, answer inquiries, and fulfill requests from internal and external customers.
- Material Handling: Offload trucks, operate forklifts, and safely move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Continuous Improvement & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, identify opportunities for improvement, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
What You Bring to the Table
- High school diploma with related post-secondary training.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory management experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Basic knowledge of mining equipment and parts is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse inventory systems.
- Commitment to customer service, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials in accordance with safe work practices.

Salary Range: CAD $41,250 - $73,750
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
