Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to our legal team and contribute to the efficient operation of the law office. Position available in Vernon or Kelowna office.
Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret and apply the Wills, Estates and Succession Act, Estate Administration Act, Supreme Court Rules (particularly Part 25), Trustee Act, and more.
- Ability to draft and orchestrate probate applications with minimal supervision.
- Ability to draft estate planning documents.
- Capacity to investigate or search for relevant information from or in coordination with executors, administrators, banks, the PGT, skip-tracers, and more.
- Have experience in Wills and Estate litigation (Notices of Disputes, Certificates of Pending Litigation, mediation, and more).
- Have experience in basic Land Title Office submissions (transmissions to executors/beneficiaries, Certificates of Pending Litigation, property searches and accurately reviewing titles)
- Have experience in Passing of Account applications.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
