Youth Ventures is looking for an enthusiastic and community-minded Youth Ventures Coordinator to support young people as they explore entrepreneurship and develop their own business ideas.
This is a 16-week opportunity to help youth build practical business skills, make connections, and gain valuable experience while contributing to the growth of the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the Youth Ventures program throughout the region.
- Support young entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas, plans, and strategies.
- Deliver presentations and program information in schools and community settings.
- Monitor and track participant progress while providing ongoing feedback and encouragement.
- Organize networking events, training sessions, and other opportunities for youth.
- Celebrate and showcase youth business achievements.
- Build and maintain relationships with youth, schools, community organizations, and local business leaders.
- Collaborate with a network of Youth Ventures Coordinators to support program outreach and delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys connecting with and supporting young people.
- Has post-secondary education in business, marketing, education, or a related field.
- Has experience in business, entrepreneurship, startups, marketing, or youth programming (an asset).
- Has strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Has an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, social media, and digital marketing tools.
- Can work independently while also being an effective team member.
- Has a valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation, as regional travel may be required.
Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
