Job description
As an Accounting Analyst, you will provide accounting support for the Business Services functions within the Sarnia refining operations. The Business Services department is responsible for accounting, reporting and business controls for Sarnia and works closely with Sarnia's refining and chemicals businesses and with corporate management.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Custodian of product Movement Accounting Transactions
Complete Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation
Conduct Internal and External reporting and analysis for the business units.
HCP compliance for measurement accuracy, identification of irregularities/losses
Financial Support with journal entry preparation, invoicing and analysis.
Process and maintain the Catalyst Accounting Activities
Collect, calculate and prepare M & P Tax Credit Reporting for Refinery and provide to Controllers for yearly reporting
Provide accurate analysis of Valuation Class assignments for general ledger account reporting, for all IOL sites
Maintain Catalogues for Business Controls


High School diploma or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
Minimum 3 year College Accounting Diploma.

Minimum 3 to 5 - years equivalent experience in accounting and financial analysis
A team player with analytical and problem solving abilities, effective time management, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Capable of multitasking and handling of work responsibilities that are driven by deadlines
Intermediate or higher level of PC skills (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word)
Experience relating to SAP systems would be an asset
