About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused, and hardworking Yard Person to join our roofing operations in Breslau, Ontario.
The Yard Person plays an important role in keeping our yard safe, organized, clean, and operating efficiently. This position involves working outdoors, handling roofing materials, loading and unloading trucks, assisting delivery drivers and coworkers, and ensuring products and equipment are properly maintained and accessible.
The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the company’s Health and Safety Program, policies, and procedures.
- Perform daily circle checks of yard equipment and report any issues requiring follow-up.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using a forklift and other appropriate equipment.
- Accurately process, organize, load, and unload product orders within the yard.
- Maintain yard lanes, storage areas, and skidded displays to ensure products are easily located and accessible.
- Keep the yard, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively report low-stock items.
- Assist delivery drivers, coworkers, and customers as required.
- Ensure materials and equipment are handled, stored, and secured properly.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, drivers, and team members.
- Follow all company procedures and safety requirements.
- Perform other general yard and warehouse duties as required.

- Shoveling sidewalks and salting
- General cleaning of warehouse bays
- Power washing fleet
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid forklift license required.
- Previous experience loading and unloading trucks is required.
- Previous yard, warehouse, construction, roofing, or material-handling experience is preferred.
- Clean and valid driver’s abstract.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling materials weighing up to 50 kg.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Available to work 40–50 hours per week and flexible to operational requirements.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Must be prepared for outdoor work with appropriate clothing, food, and refreshments for the workday.

Experience
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, roofing, material handling, or similar environment is preferred
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
