Fast-paced restaurant and bar setting, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant/Bar General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant/bar management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of food & alcohol industry standards, food & alcohol safety protocols, and team management to ensure smooth and profitable restaurant/bar performance.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of restaurant/bar operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training staff in food preparation, cooking, food handling, bartending, serving and customer service.
- Oversee food safety compliance and ensure adherence to health regulations and safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and manage cash handling procedures.
- Lead team management efforts by interviewing candidates, hiring new employees, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing training.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure efficient operation.
- Develop strategies to improve sales, optimize operational efficiency, and increase profitability.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant/bar environment at all times.
- Address guest concerns promptly to resolve issues effectively and maintain positive relationships.
Experience
- Minimum two years experience in a fast paced restaurant/bar.
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Extensive restaurant/bar management experience.
- Experience with POS systems or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus.
