Prep Academy Tutors is a premium in-home tutoring company supporting students across Durham Region. We are expanding our specialized services and are seeking a compassionate, skilled ABA Therapist / Behaviour Interventionist to join our growing team.
This role blends behavioural support with academic reinforcement, working closely with families, tutors, and supervising RBAs to help students build independence, confidence, and meaningful life skills.

Job Description
- Develop and implement individualized Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Work directly with children to reinforce positive behaviours and manage challenging behaviours
- Integrate ABA strategies into academic tutoring sessions and support classroom-readiness skills and independent learning behaviours
- Support skill development in executive functioning, self-regulation, communication, social skills, and independence to reduce barriers to learning
- Collect, record, and analyze data to monitor behavioural progress and treatment effectiveness
- Maintain detailed documentation including session notes and progress tracking
- Collaborate closely with families, tutors, educators, and supervising BCBAs/RBAs to ensure consistency across settings
- Provide support in home and community-based learning environments
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in ABA, Psychology, Child & Youth Work, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, or developmental disabilities
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavioural intervention strategies
- Experience with data collection and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
