Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
- Help with serving food to guests or staff in a timely and professional manner
- Operate basic kitchen equipment and POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing when needed
- Follow food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices to uphold health standards
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and supporting overall restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Basic kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team and serve guests professionally
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and reliability
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
