Overview
The Thornhill Club (formerly the Thornhill Golf & Country Club) was established in 1922 and is home to over 1,200 members. The Thornhill Club has hosted the 1945 Canadian Open, 2008 Men’s Mid-Amateur, 2009 Toronto Star Amateur, 2011 Ontario Women’s Mid-Amateur, 2014 Canadian Junior Girls and the 2016 Ontario Men’s Amateur. The Thornhill Club offers two gorgeous golf courses; an 18-hole championship, Par 71 course accompanied by a 9-hole Par 31 executive course designed by Stanley Thompson.
The Club is very well located on Yonge St. in the GTA, easily accessible by Hwy 407 and 401, between Hwy 400 and the 404.
The Thornhill Club is currently seeking Golf Services Attendants, who are dynamic and service-driven, to complement our Golf Services team. Successful candidates will demonstrate a hospitality-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional member and guest experiences.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Deliver best-in-class service to members and guests at all times in alignment with the standards of a premier private club
- Maintain and care for members’ golf clubs and equipment
- Manage the power cart fleet, including safe operation, storage, charging, and cleanliness
- Assist with member Power Caddy management, including transportation, storage, charging, and upkeep
- Ensure all practice areas — including the driving range, bunkers, chipping green, and warm-up net areas — are properly set up and maintained daily
- Provide outstanding Bag Drop services for members and guests
- Perform duties as a Golf Services Attendant, Bag Drop Attendant, Range Attendant, or Valley Shuttle services as assigned
- Assist with setup and execution of day-to-day operations and golf events
- Comply with all Thornhill Club policies and Health & Safety standards
Qualifications
- Works well in a positive, team environment
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence (minimum G1 classification)
- Previous member service or guest services experience is highly desirable
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or special event days as needed
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop hospitality, leadership, and golf operations experience within a premier private club environment. Successful candidates will gain exposure to tournament operations, member service standards, and professional golf operations while working in a dynamic outdoor setting.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $17.75-$19.00 per hour
