Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with experience in cake decorating, food preparation, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic designs, ensuring presentation aligns with brand aesthetics
- Assist with food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety protocols
- Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes, ensuring proper handling and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of all pastry items during service hours
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Support the kitchen team with general food preparation as needed in a busy restaurant environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field; restaurant experience preferred
- Skilled in cake decorating, food preparation, and food safety practices
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and safe food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with team members and guests
- Kitchen experience including food industry familiarity is highly desirable
- Passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts that meet quality standards
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
