Job description:
KPA Lawyers Professional Corporation we’re looking for a talented Litigation Clerk to join our thriving team. Drawing on expertise and analytical reasoning, you will provide sophisticated and tailored legal advice and assistance — helping people with varying degrees of legal knowledge grasp complex concepts to make better-informed decisions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as with a team. What you will do:

Preparing and drafting legal documents and other legal instruments that are essential for various transactions and legal processes.

Conducting thorough legal research to analyze relevant laws, regulations, precedents, and legal opinions, ensuring their advice and actions are based on accurate and up-to-date information.

Confirm appointments and meetings

Attend client meetings

Collaborate with lawyers, legal assistants and paralegals on case strategy and client matters

Review and summarize legal documents
What you bring:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy to draft correspondence and legal documents

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines and work autonomously

Take initiative and exercise judgment in identifying issues needing immediate attention

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

Familiarity and a willingness to learn new applications
Requirements:

A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in civil litigation.

Proven track record of handling complex matters and achieving successful outcomes for clients.

Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe

Experience using Teraview and Dye Durham software is highly preferred.
