Medicine Hat College invites applications for a full-time sessional Head Server (Food Services Assistant II) to work with our Food Services team.
Under the guidance of the Food Services Coordinator, the Head Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional food and beverage services within a college Food Service environment. A dynamic and proactive team player, the Head Server excels in customer service, interpersonal communication, and leading services, while demonstrating initiative and diligence in administrative tasks.
Primary responsibilities involve providing daily food and beverage services, performing in a leading role during daily and event services, ensuring quality execution and completion of duties, and supporting the Food Service Coordinator with administrative functions, including maintaining service standards and allergen awareness in compliance with AHS Food Quality and Safety practices. This includes resolving issues, creating work routines and ensuring that deadlines are met. The Head Server will also provide guidance to support staff, as needed. This position plays a vital role in supporting liquor and supplies ordering, menu planning, POS maintenance and programming. Collaboration with the event planning and coordination teams is essential to ensure smooth operations.
