Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of freight operations, commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience in freight transportation is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking and freight operations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
