Job Posting: Part-Time Security Guard – Residential Condominium (City of Markham)
Location: Highway 7 East & Kennedy, Markham, ON
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday | 7 AM – 3 PM or 3 PM – 11 PM
Position Type: Part-Time (16+ hours per week) Possibly Full-time (40+ hours per week)
Wage: $18.00- $19.00 per hour – Entry Level Position
About the Role:
Shield Security Group is currently seeking a professional and reliable Part-Time Security Guard Possibly Full-Time for a residential condominium located at Highway 7 East and Kennedy in Markham, ON.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred due to resident demographics but not mandatory
This is a permanent position, ideal for individuals seeking steady hours in a respectful, low-traffic residential environment. This is an entry-level position with room for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong and visible security presence to deter incidents
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct routine patrols of the property
- Greet and assist residents, guests, and contractors professionally
- Enforce condominium rules and policies as directed
- Complete detailed daily reports and incident documentation
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, floods, and medical incidents
- Communicate effectively with property management and security team members
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (physical or digital copy required)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be punctual, reliable, and professional in both appearance and behavior
- Comfortable using computers for reporting and basic communication
- Able to perform light foot patrols
- Previous residential/condominium security experience is an asset
- Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and overtime if needed.
