Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Edo Japan as a Front Service staff/Cashier. This role involves providing exceptional food service, preparing sushi, Serving customers and taking orders at the POS, communicating with kitchen staff and customers, re-stocking, and ensuring the front of the Restaurant and customer areas are clean and maintained. The successful candidate will ensure a high standard of food safety and and attention to quality as well as having a good work ethic and be willing to learn inside a fast paced environment. Having a vehicle is a definate plus but not required however you should live withing Spruce Grove or within a short commute to the Location. This position offers an opportunity to learn new skills while contributing to provide a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare sushi and serve a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring satisfaction
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Restaurant and dining areas
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation
- Support team members during busy periods, including assisting with meal assembly and service
- Take customer orders and input into the POS system with effective communication skills and customer service.
- Communicate with the team and the kitchen to ensure meals ordered are prepared correctly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments is preferred however not required as we will train.
- Knowledge of food preparation and POS order taking preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays is required.

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
