POSITION SUMMARY:

Drive continuous improvement activities across welding, assembly, and stamping operations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Support process and tooling development, product launches, engineering changes, and VA/VE initiatives. Troubleshoot production issues, participate in quality improvement efforts, and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PFMEAs, process flows, and work instructions. Apply GD&T knowledge to support robust manufacturing processes.
Salary Range: $92,000 - $102,000
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
-
Minimum five (5) years of experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications
-
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
-
Experience in project management and cost/quote development is an asset
-
Knowledge of automotive quality and continuous improvement tools such as APQP and PFMEA
-
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
-
Ability to work overtime as required to support production and customer requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Lead manufacturing projects from concept through launch, including feasibility studies, equipment/tooling implementation, validation, PPAP, run-at-rate activities and engineering changes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics, and equipment performance through process optimization and problem-solving.

Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, plant layouts, material flow, labor utilization and workstation ergonomics.

Coordinate tooling, equipment, and production launch activities to ensure cost, timing and quality objectives are achieved.

Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, PFMEAs, work instructions, layouts and engineering records.

Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain related engineering documentation.

Support automation and manufacturing systems through CAD layout development, PLC troubleshooting and process improvements.

Provide technical support for customer quotations, capital projects and new business opportunities.

Adhere to company values, policies, and quality / environmental management system requirements.
