A manufacturing company in Brantford is hiring for a vacant Supervisor position. The company serves OEM markets, including agriculture, mining, and other industrial sectors. Its in-house capabilities include forging, hot and cold stamping, and welding.
Position Overview
Oversee the manufacturing of all products within the assigned area of responsibility. This includes executing production schedules, allocating resources, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality standards, and managing employee performance, safety, and training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all quality, efficiency, and production targets are met.
- Confirm that required equipment, personnel, tooling, and materials are available.
- Proactively monitor progress to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all company and government health and safety regulations.
- Conduct accident investigations in accordance with company policy.
- Analyze and resolve operational issues, supporting employees with work-related challenges.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment performance, workforce efficiency, and product quality.
- Demonstrate leadership in continuous improvement initiatives, particularly within the assigned area.
- Propose innovative processes or investments to enhance current operations.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet specifications and direct necessary adjustments.
- Monitor work-in-process to estimate labor requirements and meet production schedules.
- Plan, assign, and supervise work; take corrective action; administer discipline; address concerns; and resolve issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Requirements and Experience
- 3–7 years of supervisory experience in metal manufacturing, machining, or a similar environment.
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Willingness and ability to rotate between day, afternoon, and night shifts as required.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
