Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. The Receiver will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center by ensuring that incoming shipments are accurately processed and organized. This position is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our e-commerce operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity, ensuring all items match purchase orders.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to log received products and update inventory records.
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely to move products to designated storage areas.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment as needed.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in order picking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with the management of stock levels using MRP systems.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred, particularly in shipping and receiving roles.
- Proficiency in basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and reach trucks safely (certification is an required).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
