Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Runner to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. As a Shift Runner, you will be responsible for supervising team members, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining smooth restaurant operations during your shift. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support team members including interviewing potential staff and providing ongoing training
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Monitor customer service levels, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Assist in kitchen operations when necessary, including food prep, serving, and maintaining cleanliness
- Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in food service or restaurant management roles
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Experience in managing teams within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to interview, train, and motivate staff effectively
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel environments is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and customer service excellence is essential
- Background in the food industry with specific experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable
