Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various clinical settings, including hospital, acute care, pediatrics, home care, nursing home, assisted living, and senior care environments. Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner is highly desirable. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, managing pain, administering medications, and supporting case management initiatives. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care across diverse settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
- Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation and patient data management.
- Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy and laboratory specimen collection.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Support pain management strategies and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology to accurately document and communicate patient information.
- Assist with special populations including pediatrics, seniors with dementia or requiring senior care, and patients with complex medical needs such as laboratory or laboratory experience.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in hospital settings or acute care environments; experience in pain management, case management, pediatrics, or senior/dementia care is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and laboratory procedures including phlebotomy.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and patient education.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, or patients requiring specialized care such as dementia or assisted living residents.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical situations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
