Project Designer
Location: Pointe-Claire, QC (Hybrid)
Help Design Spaces Where Play Comes to Life
At Vortex, we design award-winning splash pads and aquatic play experiences that inspire children and bring communities together around the world.
As a Project Designer, you'll transform concepts into stunning 3D renderings that help clients visualize vibrant aquatic play environments. If you're passionate about design, visualization, and creating beautiful public spaces, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Working closely with our Sales, Design, and Engineering teams, you will:
- Create high-quality 3D renderings of aquatic play parks.
- Enhance designs with landscaping, water effects, lighting, textures, and characters.
- Review project requirements and recommend layout improvements.
- Collaborate with Sales teammates and occasionally clients to refine project concepts.
- Convert approved 3D concepts into AutoCAD technical drawings showing water effects.
- Manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality work on schedule.
- Participate in special projects and contribute creative ideas.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Urban Landscape Design, 3D Visualization, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Ability to read architectural plans.
- Excellent eye for aesthetics, color, and detail.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- English and French communication skills.
- Unreal Engine and SolidWorks are an asset
- Proficiency in English is required for this role as approximately 40% of the responsibilities involve regular communication with stakeholders based in the United States and Europe.
