Based on the South shore of Montreal, our client is building a new, ultra-automated plant for the transformation of tissue paper products for the North American redistribution market.
The company is currently looking for an experienced Master Operator, passionate about paper converting, manual operations and personnel management, to join their new team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the production supervisor, the Master Operator's main mandate will be to ensure the proper functioning of the paper conversion machines under his responsibility, while respecting the safety measures established by the company.
Replace operators for breaks and act as a reference for conversion operations;
Manage the processes of the machines by carrying out the required follow-ups on performance, quality and costs;
Actively participates in the continuous improvement of existing processes and ensure the maintenance of management systems;
Inspect manufactured products, report defects and solve all technical problems;
Participate in the implementation of processes aimed at delivering high performance and operational excellence of machines, all in a context of continuous improvement;
Promote the company's vision in terms of health and safety and compliance with environmental standards for the plant;
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of safe work processes and implement activities to reduce risks, accidents and incidents;
Act as a resource person for employees by providing them with all relevant information
Collect employee feedback as well as the opinion of external specialists in order to prevent and resolve production and maintenance problems;
Any other related tasks.
Relevant experience in tissue paper conversion;
Have a high school diploma or equivalent. A person without a high school diploma but with sufficient experience could be considered;
Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work effectively;
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
Ability to analyze existing problems, propose appropriate solutions, make logical decisions and enforce them while ensuring rigorous follow-up;
Working knowledge of paper manufacturing processes;
Knowledge of tissue paper conversion lines;
Available to be on call, on a rotating schedule.
