Working within Teaching Services and under the direction of the Learning and Teaching Commons, this position is responsible for providing support and consultation for the development of online curriculum and online curriculum resources. The incumbent will collaborate with members of the Teaching Services team and other key stakeholders to plan for effective educational support and online course development. The position will conduct needs assessments focusing on blended and online delivery of curriculum and will work with subject matter experts (SME) to create or enhance online content. This position will also be responsible for creating and updating Teaching Services course resources. This role requires the incumbent to be comfortable with technology and is proficient working within Learning Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in the review/renewal/development of Teaching Services curriculum, following quality curriculum procedures, ensuring quality course maintenance.

Create and update course materials and outlines in alignment with NAIT requirements

Working with SMEs and others in a team environment to recommend online curriculum solutions

Develop and maintain strong relationships with faculty and work within group to explore, analyze, and communicate how to best use technology for instruction

Liaising with SME’s to ensure deadlines are being met

Support the creation, maintenance, and updating of materials in Moodle

Assist in delivering one-on-one training on Moodle and technologies in the classroom

Support instructors in resolving issues with online course materials

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, and deliver clear and organized

Remain current with Learning Management Systems and systems that integrate

Skills and Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of all aspects of the pedagogical cycle (conceptualizing, designing, delivering, and assessing curriculum)

Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:
Minimum related post-secondary diploma, Bachelor of Education preferred

2-3 years related experience, previous experience working in an instructional designer role with a deep knowledge of technology is preferred

Remuneration: $2,043.15 - $2,687.20 bi-weekly with a comprehensive benefit program.
