IT and Telecommunications Engineer

Take part in the design of IP network and server infrastructure projects (practical experience is an asset)
Prepare drawings and specifications for IP network and server infrastructure projects
Assist in the configuration, installation and implementation of IP network and server infrastructure projects
Document installations, standards and procedures
Work as part of a team with other disciplines


Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience
Ability to thrive in an atmosphere that demands thoroughness, priority management and resourcefulness
Experience in server infrastructure: design, configuration, implementation, migration and operation
Virtualization (VMware, vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, HA, FT)
Experience in networking, design, configuration, implementation, migration and operation
Required knowledge
Level 2 and Level 3 networking (CCNA is an asset)
practical knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco wireless access points
practical knowledge of optical fibre infrastructure
practical knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
practical knowledge of network monitoring tools (NMS)
structured wiring (computers), layout of information/telecommunication rooms (familiarity with the BISCI standard is an asset) and telecommunication and IT equipment cabinets
