Position Overview:
As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of our warehouse operations in Calgary. This includes managing inventory and optimizing processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products through the warehouse, meeting customer demands, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Assist Operations Manager in leading, motivating, and mentoring a team of warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels.
Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving processes to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain accurate records.
Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a warehouse lead role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
