Are you a passionate line cook ready to learn from two world-travelled Chefs? We are seeking an experienced Line Cook / Oyster Shucker to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring all food is served promptly and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Adhere to all health regulations and restaurant policies regarding food safety
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Skilled in meal preparation and understanding of various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in kitchen operations
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
