Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Director, Marketing & Communications to join our team, based out of our Calgary office. This position reports to the Vice President, ESG & Strategy, and is primarily responsible for the development and execution of all marketing, communication and corporate branding strategies and activities that support CDN Controls' (?CDN?) purpose, values and corporate strategy. Responsibilities:

As our Director, Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible to:

Initiate, develop and lead comprehensive external and internal integrated communications and marketing strategies relative to the strategic direction and positioning of CDN. This includes reporting metrics for evaluating overall communications effectiveness.
Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and President/CEO of CDN to align, plan, and implement communication and marketing strategies and enhance strategic priorities through organizational change management and corporate strategy delivery.
Manage all aspects of CDN's corporate brand including evolving and maintaining the corporate visual identity and brand standards internally and externally as well as optimizing branding channels.
Direct the development of CDN's publications, analyze publicity and conduct research to determine the concerns and expectations of the stakeholders to enhance the success of CDN.
Plan and oversee the consistent message and image of CDN's web and social media presence.
Provide recommendations and support to leaders and staff related to the launch and ongoing reporting of strategic initiatives and communication tools. This includes support writing strategic communication documents for bid packages, sales and business development materials, electronic signage, industry booths, career fairs, briefings, speeches, presentations, quarterly meetings, Town Halls and other required messaging.
Provide strategic communications advice and support to CDN's Indigenous engagement and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, programming, community events and promotion of these activities. This includes leading the design and communication aspects of CDN's annual ESG Report.
Lead the internal and external communications plan for any potential future mergers and/or acquisitions by CDN.
Build and maintain sustainable relationships with media, members of the community, public affairs offices, and other organizations.
Respond to public requests for information from members, government agencies, businesses, advocacy groups, and other associations.
Work with external designers, writers, editors and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand identity.
Evaluate the success of various communication strategies and provide and implement recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:
Related university degree and typically 10 or more years of related experience; or combination of formal education and experience
Professional designation required (IABC or

Extensive communications & marketing experience including the handling of corporate communications, original writing and editing and public relations
Demonstrated ability to build communication, marketing and branding programs from conception to execution

Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines
