Purpose of this position:
To ensure the comfort of guests in the dining area and to ensure that food service is delivered efficiently, effectively and with a professional demeanor from the kitchen to the guests within the standards of service of a four-diamond resort.
Key Objective # 1 – To provide a high quality of service to the guests and rate Excellent on guest surveys
Ø Perform daily tasks such as checking emails, special requests, and reports
Ø Manage and assign sections, tables and between-service duties
Ø Complete services checklist and all closing activities
Ø Maintain dining room and table set up and cleanliness, as well as spa waiting room and reception
Ø Participate as and manage members of the dining services team and provide support to the other members of the services team
Ø Ensure that dining room staff are following the dress code for the department
Ø Co-ordinate private food services and ensure set up is completed
Ø During services, walk the floor periodically to ensure the progress of the service and guest satisfaction
Key Objective #2 – To meet, greet and seat the guests in a prompt attentive manner
Ø Dress and act professionally at all times
Ø Ensure reservations sheet is ready with sections; assigned tables; clean menus; cutlery roll ups and side plates for applicable services
Ø Be aware of any allergies or special dietary restrictions; make and mark the appropriate dietary cards for the tables. Follow up with dining room and kitchen staff if needed
Ø Be aware of any anniversaries and/or birthdays and follow up with the server
Ø Greet all guests with a smile and welcome them to our dining room. Ask for their names and check off their names on the reservation form
Ø Assist servers when needed
Ø Assist resetting tables for next guests or service
Key Objective #3 – Other duties
Ø Assist with dining room inventory
Ø Assist placing orders for groceries, coffee, tea, etc.
Ø Assist training new staff
Ø Co-ordinate the weekly cleaning list
Ø Co-ordinate polishing cutlery
Ø Co-ordinate cleaning kitchen back side, coffee and cappuccino machines for maintenance (follow instructions)
Ø Co-ordinate dining room cleaning list; tables, chairs, fans, furniture, etc.
Ø Clean and organize the table at the host area
Ø Co-ordinate the cleaning and sanitizing list: menus, phones, light switches, etc.
Ø Assist management team with administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in providing food services in the hospitality industry is required
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of serving, team management, food safety, and hospitality practices
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff members efficiently

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
