TPP Data Entry Clerk

This is a short-term contract position for approximately 6 months with possibility of extension, working 35 hours/week.

As a TPP (Triplicate Prescription Program) Data Entry Clerk, you will enter data from triplicate prescriptions into a prescription database and handle telephone calls placed to and received from physicians and pharmacists. You will also perform various clerical duties independently with minimal supervision.


Enters data from triplicate prescriptions into prescription database.
Calculates amount of TPP drug in compounded prescriptions.
Verify accuracy of amounts dispensed by the pharmacy according to physicians.
Follow-up on incomplete prescriptions and errors in dispensing and/or missing information.
Open, sort, and batch daily mail.
Handle physician requests for triplicate prescription pad orders and updates simple address changes for prescribers in database.
Record reports of lost or stolen pads by physicians.
Respond to routine telephone inquiries for information regarding TPP.
Provide profiles as requested to practitioners and pharmacies.
Identify duplicate records related to some triplicate prescriptions.


Basic knowledge of office or business practices and communication typically requiring a high school diploma

Requirement for 1 to 3 years of related experience

Mathematical ability to calculate quantities using percentages, ratios, etc.
Speed and accuracy of data entry (minimum of 8,000 KPH)
Ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
Good verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
