The Seabee Gold Operation is an underground gold mining and milling operation, located near Laonil Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 125 kilometers northeast of the town of La Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has been in continuous commercial production since 2014. Commercial production at the Seabee underground mine commenced in 1991 and exhausted Mineral Resources in 2018. All ore is processed at the Seabee mill facility, which has been in operation since 1991

This a management position with a schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off, which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert & La Ronge.

Reporting to the General Manager of Seabee Gold Operations (SGO), the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation, coordination and evaluation of all HR, Camp and Administration functions, to ensure operational effectiveness and exceptional customer service to site staff and leaders.

Provides clear and consistent HR leadership at site, ensuring alignment with SSR Mining’s HR strategy, and SGO’s business strategy.
Develops HR programs/policies for Seabee to ensure clear processes, procedures and a consistent approach is in place.
Delivers tactical and operational support and ensure effective and compliant delivery of HR programs/policies.
Provides guidance and advice to department managers in the areas of organizational structure, workforce planning/forecasting, staffing, employee development and training, salary/wage and benefits administration, and diversity and communications.
Leads site processes of effective Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Talent Management which includes attraction, selection, retention, succession management, leadership development and training.
Leads SGO’s HR projects and benchmarking activities, ensuring HR initiatives provide the operational support required to deliver the SGO’s business strategy.
Participates in the annual budgeting and strategic business plan processes; plans for and uses resources efficiently and ensures budget is accurate and adhered to for HR, Camp Services and Administration.
Ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws.
Supervises, develops, and coaches the staff of the human resources department.
Seen by all employees on site as an expert and leader in the field of people management.
Oversee the Camp and Catering department as well as Administrative Services department.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. CHRP
10+ years’ experience leading the HR function, ideally in a site-based role with strong working knowledge of multi-discipline HR functions including employee relations and organizational strategy development.
Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan labor and regulatory environment.
Strong tactical background related to all facets of HR, including managing compensation programs (both hourly and salaried), benefit administration, HR systems and analytics.
Proficient in MS office and knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Able to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
Demonstrated capacity to execute plans and hold self and others accountable for their performance and deliverables.
Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Mining sector experience (in an underground environment, remote location), including managing fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) HR challenges is highly desirable.
Experience in mine site safety programs will be considered an asset.
