Overview
We are seeking a Journeyman or experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work performed.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to shop standards.
- Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair with a solid understanding of mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to weld is an advantage for certain repair tasks.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Capability to lift heavy objects as needed during repairs.
- A valid driver's license is required.
