Job Overview
Nuvella Haven is seeking an experienced Team Lead / Residential Supervisor to oversee frontline operations within community homes supporting adults with developmental disabilities and complex service needs.
This position is responsible for ensuring safe, consistent, and high-quality support services while providing direct supervision, coaching, scheduling, and performance management for Community Disability Support Workers.
The Team Lead plays a critical role in maintaining program stability and preventing placement breakdowns for individuals transitioning from hospital environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Leadership
- Supervise Community Disability Support Workers and Overnight Support Workers
- Conduct coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities
- Manage shift coverage and scheduling
Service Delivery Oversight
- Ensure implementation of individualized support plans
- Monitor behaviour support strategies
- Review documentation and service quality
- Support medication management processes
Incident Management
- Respond to emergencies and critical incidents
- Participate in investigations and debriefings
- Support crisis response planning
- Monitor risk management protocols
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate with families, guardians, healthcare professionals, and community partners
- Participate in case conferences and service planning meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Disability Studies, Community Rehabilitation, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years supporting adults with developmental disabilities
- Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver's licence
Preferred:
- Mental health experience
- Crisis intervention training
- Medication administration experience
- Community living experience
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
