Job Overview
The Paw Print Studio Lead, reporting into the Ops. Paw Print Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Paw Print Studio team members and ensuring that all functions are carried out in a safe manner. Other responsibilities include assisting with other operational duties, problem solving, and other additional tasks as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities

With direction and guidance from the Paw Studio Manager, oversee the day-to-day activities of the Paw Print Studio to ensure departmental goals, production standards, and quality expectations are consistently met. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and service systems.

Hands-On Work: Actively participate in all aspects of paw print production, including but not limited to: glazing, latexing, pressing contours, painting and dremmeling paw prints, shaping and sanding prints, spray painting, operating the pug mill, loading/unloading kilns, troubleshooting equipment, silicone molding, and locating backup materials. Provide coverage and support across different workstations as needed.

Process Knowledge & Cross-Training: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each step in the paw print creation process. Serve as a subject matter expert and promote cross-training within the team to enhance skill diversity and production flexibility.

Training & Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding and hands-on training of new hires. Provide clear instructions, guidance, and support to ensure new team members understand procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Team Leadership & Support: Support the Paw Print Studio Manager by monitoring team workflow, providing day-to-day direction, identifying process improvement opportunities, and escalating issues as necessary. Step in as the main point of contact in the manager’s absence.

Team Engagement & Morale: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Encourage open communication, recognize team accomplishments, and contribute to building a respectful, motivated workplace culture.

Safety Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring all team members are consistently following health and safety protocols. Monitor the work environment for hazards and report or address issues immediately.

Operational Efficiency: Monitor studio output to ensure production schedules are met. Collaborate with the Studio Manager to identify bottlenecks, recommend operational improvements, and help implement solutions that enhance workflow and product quality.

Education, Training & Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent

One+ years experience in paw print position

Some level of demonstrated artistic ability preferred

Demonstrated leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations.

Working Conditions
