Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Renovation Assistant to join our construction and renovation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential renovations, utilizing a wide range of skills including carpentry, tiling, painting and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction practices, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality. Duties
- Assist with renovation projects including framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, tile laying, and cabinet installation
- Operate hand tools and power tool
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and organizing materials and equipment before and after work shifts
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or renovation work is preferred but not mandatory;
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous
- Familiarity with carpentry, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration work, cabinet installation, painting
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality standards
