St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Temporary, Educational Assistant 3 (EA3) for a work assignment at École Hillgrove School within BASC programming.

Hours of Work : 30.0 hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, Temporary
Hourly Rate: $28.52 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
Expected End Date: June 29, 2027
Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

Advanced knowledge of behavioural management techniques and the ability to apply changing intervention strategies to respond to severe and unpredictable behaviours.

Experience participating in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Program Plans (IPPs).

Ability to modify and adapt tasks, activities, and learning materials to support student participation at an appropriate level.

Experience identifying and implementing alternate strategies to assist students in meeting individual learning, behavioural, and social-emotional goals.
-
Ability to support students in maintaining self-respect and dignity while addressing individual behavioural needs.

Experience providing social, emotional, behavioural, and learning supports.

Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in applying IPP goals, intervention strategies, and student support plans.

Experience working collaboratively with classroom teachers, school-based teams, parents/caregivers, consulting specialists, and outside agencies, as required.

Ability to coordinate classroom activities and manage groups of students with severe behavioural needs.

Experience administering medications, providing personal care, assisting with heavy lifting, and using physical aides, as required.

First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Behaviour modification courses are an asset.
