Role Summary: Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager will oversee daily operations, manage production teams, coordinate schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, building relationships, and driving projects forward.
The successful candidate will work closely with ownership, customers, subcontractors, and production teams to manage multiple active projects while ensuring operational efficiency and exceptional customer service.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in construction, restoration, project management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction projects
- Experience in cost estimating, scopes of work, and budget management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, timelines, and scheduling
- Proven ability to manage production teams, field staff, and subcontractors
- Experience handling multiple concurrent commercial projects (institutional, multi-unit, and specialty builds)
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Ability to coordinate trades and leverage subcontractor relationships
- Highly organized with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working across both office and field environments
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction operations and project execution
- Dispatch and coordinate production teams to active job sites
- Develop scopes of work and prepare project estimates
- Calculate material requirements, labour costs, and construction timelines
- Monitor project budgets and profitability
- Manage project schedules and production team workloads
- Oversee residential, commercial, institutional, and government projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain regular communication throughout projects
- Coordinate subcontractors and external trades as required
- Source additional trade partners when project volumes increase
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress
- Review project quality and ensure company standards are maintained
- Manage project files and oversee approximately 5–10 active projects per week
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and project execution
- Work closely with ownership to support business growth and customer satisfaction
- Resolve project challenges and provide practical solutions when issues arise
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary: $80,000–$90,000 (based on experience)
