Primary Role:
CNC Program, Set-up, and run quality parts that relate to Gemini Machine Works. Assist, mentor and communicate with all machine shop production floor leads. Undertake CNC programming / set-up and optimization associated pertaining to all projects on CNC machine tools.
Responsibilities:
- Daily programming, set-up, and run quality parts as directed by CNC Foreman.
- Ensuring manufacturing efficiency, safety, quality
- Responsible for efficient production of CNC machined components and repair projects throughout Gemini facility.
- Accountability towards CNC programming accuracy, set-up and produced parts quality.
- Set-up sheet compilation, programing, and machine tool maintenance
- Responsible for the participation and constant improvement of Gemini Machine Works certifications and credentials (QMS, HSE COR).
- Ensure production follows quality protocols and procedures as per Gemini QMS
- Other duties may be assigned based on the company’s requirements.
Performance Objectives:
- Meet the operational objectives while complying with Gemini Machine Works corporate goals.
- Maintain following KPI’s: On-time delivery, QMS processes, and minimize NCR components.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness.
- Identify, investigate and correct unsafe practices.
- Support employee development, mentorship and growth.
- Maintain a positive ‘team’ environment on the shop floor through respectful dealings with individuals from all departments.
- Meet set deadlines as dictated by master shop schedule coupled with customer demands.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years of manufacturing experience with excellent understanding of Mazatrol, Fanuc, and Lathe live tooling.
- Previous experience with Mazak, Nakamura-Tome, and Matsuura machine tools considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written skills when dealing with both internal team members and customers.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally Lift / Carry weights to 50 lbs.
Time Commitment Expectations:
- Day shift commencement 8am – 4:30pm; Monday through Friday.
- Afternoon shift commencement 4pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday.
- Earlier (or later) shift times may occur due to manufacturing projects required delivery dates.
- Saturday / Sunday shift times may occur due to manufacturing projects required delivery dates.
