We’re a cozy artisanal cheese shop & bistro looking for a store manager who’s equal parts people-person, problem-solver, food enthusiast and has a flair for presentations. Think of this role as being the “cheese captain” — steering the ship, keeping the team motivated, and making sure our guests leave with full bellies and big smiles.
What You’ll Do
- Be the friendly face of the shop and the bistro, welcoming customers and helping them discover their new favourite cheese or food pairing.
- Provide counter service to our customers. Cutting, wrapping cheese and slicing charcuterie meats.
- Lead our awesome team — training, scheduling, and cheering them on.
- Keep the wheels turning: from managing inventory to making sure the cheese counter always looks irresistible.
- Jump in wherever needed — sometimes that’s behind the counter, sometimes it’s problem-solving, sometimes it’s taste-testing (perks of the job ).
- Make sure everything we do meets food safety and quality standards (while still being fun).
What We’re Looking For
- Someone with experience running a bistro, shop, or restaurant.
- Experience in cheese (past work, leisure interest)
- A natural leader who can inspire, train, and support a team.
- Organized but flexible — things move quickly, and you’ll need to pivot like a pro.
- Strong customer service skills (you’re the kind of person who remembers someone’s favourite order).
- Passionate about food, people, and creating memorable experiences.
