Who We're Looking For
CCE is seeking a well experienced biomedical engineer who is passionate and dedicated to helping provide high-quality patient care.. Experience with diagnostic imaging modalities, especially ultrasound, is a requirement.
CCE is expanding and looking for a pioneer to aid in our mission to deliver our offerings to the Vancouver, Edmonton, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide field engineering services based out of either Vancouver or Edmonton. Territory extends to all BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Provide in-house services (equipment testing & repair, shipping/receiving, etc.)
- Obtain extensive knowledge about- and experience with Samsung ultrasound.
- Perform preventative maintenance and quality assurance services to a diverse range of diagnostic equipment.
- Identify and evaluate defects in equipment, properly finding the cause and proposing solutions.
- Safely transport ultrasound equipment using a company provided cargo van, and participate in warehouse related responsibilities.
- Install ultrasound equipment in clinics/hospitals, working with their IT departments for seamless connectivity.
- Accurately and professionally repair ultrasound machines.
- Identify ultrasound transducer conditions in terms of image quality and cosmetic features.
- Complete the installation of newly purchased equipment and provide post-sale technical support.
- Provide memorable and professional services and support to clients.
- Maintain proficiency in industry trends and ultrasound technological advancements.
- Be familiar with advanced ultrasound options/features with basic knowledge of clinical application and technical requirements.
- Keep adequate records of all activities, materials used, and work completed.
- Communicate with manufacturers about technical features, new releases, and other important correspondence.
- Log all notable information throughout your job functions and generating service reports.
- Use CRM software to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Maintenance of excellent punctuality and attendance record.
- Compliance with all CCE safety and operating procedures.
Skills Needed
· An excellent understanding of diagnostic ultrasound systems in their functionality, mechanics, technical aspects, applications, and features.
· Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and client interactions.
· Ability to work independently
· Strong ability and willingness to learn.
· Safe transport of capital equipment.
· Possession of adequate biomedical engineering experience and education in diagnostic imaging.
· Strong time management and organization skills.
· A good understanding of Canadian healthcare regulations and regulators applicable to our business.
· Excellent computer skills
· Located in Vancouver or Edmonton and covering all Western Canada, ability to nationwide travel is highly valued.
· Excellent customer relations skills.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
· Background as a biomedical service engineer or a related position is essential, and specific experience with ultrasound equipment is required.
· A valid Full Driver’s License.
· The candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and provide proof of eligibility.
· The candidate must possess excellent intrapersonal and technical skills.
· Must always adhere to Federal and Provincial regulations and safety protocols relating to the medical devices industry.
· Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Hours, Location & Compensation
· Base Salary is determined based on qualifications and experience.
· Job Type: full-time, permanent.
· Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm excluding statutory holidays.
