About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, upkeep, and repair of our facility and equipment. This role requires a proactive and self-sufficient individual who can handle general maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions—without the need for constant oversight.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
- Maintain and repair machinery, including motors, pumps, and air systems.
- Conduct basic carpentry, fabrication, and plumbing tasks as needed.
- Recommend repairs, replacements, and upgrades to management.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts.
- Work with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
Who You Are
- A self-starter who works independently, takes initiative, and stays organized.
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, standing, bending, and squatting throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Skilled in CNC troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in small motors, controls, and equipment repair.
Key Skills & Experience
- Basic electrical knowledge (small motors, lighting, controls).
- Pumps and air systems (vacuums, compressors).
- Machine maintenance (pulleys, bearings, motors, controls).
- Basic carpentry and fabrication (workstations, fixtures).
- Plumbing repairs (basic troubleshooting and maintenance).
- Equipment familiarity (shop tools, hand tools, forklifts, scissor lifts).
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs (lubrication, routine checks).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and basic computer literacy.
