Faster Forests Inc. is a biotechnology company in the field of reforestation and land reclamation. Faster
Forests has developed a seed vessel product with promising applications in several areas of reforestation, land restoration and agriculture.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic and Packaging Expert to join our team for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing plastic and packaging materials for manufacturing various Faster Forests technologies. They will also work closely with other team members to ensure that all products are manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of plastic and packaging materials, processes, and technologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Organization – keep track of tasks and priorities, update and maintain information, and follow- up as needed.
- Time Management – plan and execute routine tasks, use time appropriately to add the most value to Genics’ R&D activities.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Plastic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in plastic and packaging engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in designing and developing plastic and packaging materials for consumer products.
- Class 5 drivers license required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- This position is offered on as a 6-month contract.

Pay: From $5,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Acheson, AB T7X 6B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
Experience:
- Plastics and Packaging: 5 years (required)
- Manufacturing: 5 years (preferred)
- CAD: 5 years (preferred)
